LOUISVILLE MALE HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION

H.D. "PAP" GLENN - $800
Recipient participated in athletics, is capable of doing college work and would receive no college aid.
W.S. MILBURN - $700
Recipient assisted the administration at school, is capable of doing college work and would receive no college aid.
ALFRED E. KALMER - $700
Recipient assisted the administration in the areas of counseling and student guidance, is capable of doing college work and would receive no college aid.
WILLIAM E. EDWARDS, JR. - $1,000 (2)
• Male baseball player planning to attend college.
• Female field hockey planning to attend college.
CLYDE GLASS - $800
Need-based four-year renewable scholarship if student remains in good standing with the university.
DAISY SANDERS - $250
Student interested in sociology, social work or missionary work with need secondary.
FOSTER SANDERS - $800
• Active in school activities.
• Need-based scholorship.
STANLEY V. BENOVITZ - $1,000
Planning to attend the University of Louisville.
ERNEST L. VOGT - $800
Demonstrated scholarship, leadership and community service.
LARRY C. PITTMAN MEMORIAL - $1,000
Student with a passion for music who plans to pursue a major in music education with an emphasis in choral music, vocal performance or music theatre.
PIERCE BUTLER ATWOOD - up to $2,000
Four-year renewable scholarship based on character, leadership, service and need secondary. (Must submit yearly proof of B average/enrollment in college.)
ELIZABETH BRECKINRIDGE - $200 (subject to change)
Female student planning to teach.
PTSA
• Statement explaining how the scholarship will finance/fund college education.
• Two letters of recommendation: one from a community member and one from a Male High School faculty member.
• Must be a member of the Louisville Male High PTSA, have a high attendance record and be college bound.
LOUISVILLE MALE HIGH SCHOOL PTSA - $500
Student describes how they demonstrate commitment to the Louisville Male Honor Creed to be a person of integrity through character, responsibility, and community service in daily life through school, community or job.
• 2.5 GPA
LOUISVILLE MALE HIGH SCHOOL PTSA PRESIDENT - $1,000
Student describes how they demonstrate commitment to the Louisville Male Honor Creed in areas of scholarship, character, leadership and community service to school or community including the impact they hope to make in the future.
• 3.5 GPA
OTHER
STUDENT SENATE - $250
Outstanding leadership in Student Senate.
• 3.0 GPA
NELLIE MATTHEW MEYER MEMORIAL TRUST - $100-$800 (stock market dependent)
• Music-oriented student showing a financial need.
• May not pursue medicine or any science major that practices animal experimentation.
• 2.8 GPA
CLASS SCHOLARSHIP - $250
Dedication and loyalty to Louisville Male High School, extensive hours of school service, consistent work on all class events, projects, exemplifies outstanding character and leadership.
• 2.5 GPA
JIM GRANT MEMORIAL - $1,000
Recipient must major in education, show an enthusiasm for teaching, have a spirit for learning and show compassion toward others.
